I strive to capture impressions using nuances of color, gesture, texture, and form. Adrift, for example, reflects the sensations of watching dark blue seas beneath stormy skies, with hopeful glimmers of light inside the clouds passing by.

By contrast, Uninhabited reflects my impressions of the vast open spaces of a desert environment – and the expansive mood that such a place evokes.

The journey of capturing emotional landscapes isn’t simply about natural beauty alone. In Urban Snow, roiling winter weather collides with man-made structures beneath the snow.  While all these paintings may appear abstract, the impressions that inspired them are palpably real. I hope this makes them accessible to all.
